Rezum Vapor Therapy for BPH
Rezum is a minimally invasive therapy that uses bursts of steam to shrink the part of the prostate that causes symptoms.
It’s an outpatient procedure – no surgery, no hospital stay – and for most men, it means fewer trips to the bathroom, a stronger stream, and better sleep.
Unlike medications, Rezum works at the source. And unlike traditional surgery, it doesn’t come with a hospital stay, long recovery or higher risks.

The Process
Consultation
We’ll review your symptoms, your health history, and test results, and possibly order a scan or urine test to make sure Rezum is the right option for you.
The Procedure
Under light sedation, a small device is inserted into the urethra to deliver quick bursts of steam to the enlarged part of the prostate. The heat disrupts the overgrown tissue, which is gradually reabsorbed and passed naturally over time.
Recovery
A catheter is usually placed for a few days. Once it’s removed, many men start noticing immediate improvements. Full results take a few weeks to a few months as healing continues and swelling diminishes.
Know All Your Options

BPH (Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia) is a non-cancerous enlargement of the prostate. It can lead to a weak stream, frequent urination, difficulty starting or emptying the bladder, and waking up at night to pee.
If your symptoms are moderate to severe and you want to avoid daily medications or invasive surgery, Rezum may be a good fit. It’s especially appealing if preserving sexual function is important to you.
One treatment is usually enough. Symptom relief builds over time, with most men feeling significant improvement within 3 to 6 months.
Rezum is designed to avoid the nerves and structures responsible for bladder control and sexual function. Most men retain both – and in some cases, even report improvements. Newer studies show 80-90% of men maintain erectile function, ejaculation, and normal bladder control after treatment.
Mild discomfort is normal, especially in the first few days. It’s generally well managed with over-the-counter pain relief.
You might notice increased urgency or frequency for a few weeks while your body clears the treated tissue – this is completely normal. Everything settles gradually, and full relief is usually felt by the 3-month mark.
